Trivia
- Farms have the lowest CpS of any fully upgraded Building, and as such farms are currently the worst buildings in-game in terms of CpS. It is not recommended to buy farms for CpS mid-late game, as they are only really useful for their synergy effects and for unlocking new soils for the farm mini-game. Despite this, Farms are statistically the most efficient building to buy first!
- The 500th Farm costs 2 decillion but only provides an additional 70 thousand CpS (excluding synergy upgrades). Staggeringly, buying this farm contributes 6.4 billion to Cursor CpS and cookies per click (assuming the Nonillion fingers upgrade has been purchased) — providing 91 thousand times more than the actual farm!
- Farms were not included in the Classic version of Cookie Clicker.

- The Pulsar Sprinklers upgrade refers to the pulsar, a type of star known for emitting powerful beams of light from its magnetic poles and spinning rapidly.
- The Wheat triffids upgrade is a reference to The Day of the Triffids, a post-apocalyptic novel written by John Wyndham.
- The Barnstars upgrade refers to a real life decoration which is found on barns in some parts of the United States. It is likely also a reference to barnstars, which are awards both given and received by Wikipedia contributors.
- The Lindworms upgrade refers to the mythical creature which appears in fairy tales and was a popular motif on runestones in 11th century Sweden.
- The Global Seed Vault upgrade is a reference to the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, a facility which stores thousands of varieties of crop seeds in case of a (non-cookie related) mass extinction event.
- The Farm ill achievement is a play on words of the title of the popular Zynga game Farmville.
- The You and the Beanstalk achievement is a reference to the English fairy tale "Jack and the Beanstalk".
- The Harvest Moon achievement refers to the real life phenomenon as well as the video game series of the same name.
- The Sharpest tool in the shed achievement is a reference to a lyric in the 2001 Smash Mouth song "All Star", which is in the line "Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me, I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed".
- The I hate manure achievement is a quote from Back to the Future, as in the films it is often exclaimed by members of the Tannen family when they end up in a pile of manure.
- The Huge tracts of land achievement is a quote from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. In the film Herbert's father says "Don't like her? What's wrong with her? She's beautiful, she's rich, she's got huge... tracts of land." while attempting to convince Herbert to marry.
