Opti is described as the "other half of Cookie Clicker[1] " and owner of the Dashnet servers which host Cookie Clicker among Orteil's other projects.[2] It has been said on Orteil's homepage that Opti is his best friend and roommate. According to Orteil's F.A.Q. page[3], he met Opti on Second Life who hosted his web "experiments".
Opti handles finances, hosting, community management (mainly on the official Discord), and other real life stuff that Orteil "doesn't quite have the brain for".
