Changes: Valentine's Day season

Valentine's Day is a seasonal event in Cookie Clicker that was added on the 1.041 update. Since version 1.0466, Valentine's Day season starts automatically and lasts from 10th to 15th of February.

Valentine's Day is activated by purchasing the upgrade "Lovesick biscuit", which will launch it for 24 hours. It is available after purchasing the heavenly upgrade "Season Switcher" which lets you trigger seasonal events at will, for a price. Triggering seasons is repeatable, but will get more expensive every time. It will also cancel any other seasonal event that is on at the time you click it.

The Lovesick biscuit will unlock all the features of the Valentine's Day update, including Valentine's Day-related cookie upgrades, Valentine's Day-Golden cookies (Also known as "Heart Cookies"), and more.

The benefits for this season are very simple: start the season, bake at least 50,000 cookies, then start buying the upgrades. Most other seaons have much more complicated benefits that require waiting for something to spawn, clicking on special items (like wrinklers), etc. By comparison these upgrades are very simple to get once you have enough cookies in your bank.

Trivia

The Valentine's Day Season was first confirmed on Orteil's tumblr.
Orteil said he will probably use this system for other special events in the future.
The Golden cookie and Wrath Cookie look almost the same in this season.
Eternal heart biscuits may be a reference to invincible hearts in LEGO games.
There are currently 8 different phrases etched in Valentine's Day-Golden cookies , each with a unique colour:
- "I kinda like you" (pink)
- "your face is okay" (red)
- "tough luck" (brown)
- "you're alright" (orange)
- "cool beans" (yellow)
- "sure why not" (light lime)
- "help" (aqua)
- "let's watch cartoons" (magenta/reddish-pink)
